Hamare Raaz (“we”, “us”, “our”, “the App”) is a private, end-to-end encrypted chat application designed for two people only. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
By using Hamare Raaz, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
⚠️ IMPORTANT — READ BEFORE USING THE APP
Hamare Raaz is built for fun, entertainment, and time-pass use only — it is not meant for storing important photos or chats, business communication, official documentation, financial transactions, or any legal/serious purpose. We cannot decrypt or access your encrypted data under any circumstances — not even to help you recover it. Please do not treat this app as a safe or permanent storage solution. Use it, enjoy it, but don’t rely on it for anything important, legal, or irreplaceable.
1. Who We Are
Hamare Raaz is an independent app developed and maintained by Shyam Sunder Kumar, an individual developer (not a registered company or business entity), based in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India.

We do not collect your real name (unless you choose to enter one), phone number, email address, or location.
Even with end-to-end encryption, some technical data is unavoidably processed to operate the app, such as:
- Approximate timestamps of messages (for delivery/ordering — not content)
- Device/app version (for crash reports and compatibility, if applicable)
- IP address (temporarily, at the network level, for connection purposes)
We do not use this metadata for tracking, profiling, or advertising.
3. Encryption
All chat messages and photos are protected using AES-256 encryption. Your password acts as your encryption key.
- We never store your password in any recoverable form.
- We cannot decrypt or read your messages — even if legally requested, we have no technical ability to access message content.
- If you forget your password, your data cannot be recovered by us or anyone else. Please see our Terms & Conditions for details.
4. No Ads. No Tracking. No Selling.
- We do not display advertisements in the App.
- We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party for marketing purposes.
5. Data Storage & Backups — Data Can Be Lost or Deleted at Any Time
- Encrypted messages and photos are stored on our servers (Firebase) only for as long as needed to deliver them or until you delete them.
- We do not maintain long-term backups of your chat data.
- 🚨 Your data — messages, photos, and profile — may be permanently deleted at any time, without prior notice, due to technical issues, server/hosting outages, storage limits, maintenance, or any other reason.
- Once data is deleted (by you, or due to any technical/server issue), it cannot be recovered — by us or by anyone else.
- If any information is important to you, please take a screenshot or save it separately on your own device. We strongly recommend not relying on the App to preserve anything you cannot afford to lose.
6. Data Retention
- Chat messages remain on our servers only until delivered or until you use “Chat Clear.”
- If you do not delete your data manually, it may persist on our servers for as long as your account is active.
- Upon account deletion, all associated data is permanently and irreversibly removed within a reasonable period.
7. Your Rights & Data Deletion
You have full control over your data:
- “Clear Chat” — Permanently deletes all messages in a conversation.
- “Delete Account” — Permanently deletes your profile, bio, photo, and all associated data.
⚠️ Both actions are irreversible. Once deleted, we cannot recover your data under any circumstances.
8. Children’s Privacy
Hamare Raaz is not intended for users under the age of 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction).
- By using this App, you confirm and declare that you are 18 years of age or older.
- We do not have a technical age-verification system — age eligibility relies entirely on your own declaration.
- We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we become aware or are notified that a minor has used the App, we reserve the right to immediately delete the associated account and all data, without prior notice.
- Parents/guardians who believe a minor has used this App may contact us at the email below for prompt removal of data.
9. Prohibited Use
By using Hamare Raaz, you agree that you will not use the App to:
- Send, share, or store any content that is illegal under Indian law, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), content promoting violence, terrorism, or hate speech
- Harass, threaten, blackmail, stalk, or abuse another person
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your identity
- Share or distribute copyrighted material without authorization
- Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, exploit, or disrupt the App’s servers or infrastructure
⚠️ Important: Because chats are end-to-end encrypted, we technically cannot view, monitor, or moderate message content. This means we cannot detect or prevent misuse in real time — responsibility for what is sent through the App rests entirely with the users involved.
If we receive a valid legal order, court directive, or law enforcement request, we will cooperate to the extent legally required and technically possible (see Section 11).
10. Security Practices — Use a Strong Password
While we use strong encryption (AES-256), no system is 100% secure, and your password is the single most important layer of protection for your chat.
🔑 Please use a strong password:
- Minimum 12 characters
- A mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and special characters (e.g.
!@#$%)
- Avoid weak passwords like “1234”, your name, or your date of birth — these are easily guessed
Additional responsibilities:
- Keep your password confidential — anyone who knows it can read your entire chat.
- Do not share your login credentials with anyone other than your intended chat partner.
- If you forget your password, we cannot reset or recover it. Your chat and all its data will be permanently and irreversibly lost.
- If you ever change your password, inform the other person immediately, since both users need the same password for the app to work.
We take reasonable technical measures (such as encryption) to protect your data, but we cannot guarantee absolute security against sophisticated attacks, breaches, or unauthorized access beyond our control. In the unlikely event of a data breach, we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected users, where technically feasible and legally required.
11. Law Enforcement & Legal Compliance
We may disclose limited information (such as account existence, timestamps, or technical metadata — not decrypted message content, which we cannot access) if required to do so by:
- A valid court order, subpoena, or legal process under Indian law
- A request from law enforcement or government authorities acting within their legal authority
We do not proactively monitor, scan, or share user content with any third party. Any cooperation with authorities will be limited strictly to what is legally mandated.
12. Your Rights Under the DPDP Act, 2023
As an app processing personal data of users in India, we aim to align with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). Where applicable, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data you have provided
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request erasure of your data (via “Clear Chat” / “Delete Account,” or by contacting us)
- Withdraw consent for data processing at any time (by deleting your account)

13. Changes to This Policy
📝 This Privacy Policy may be updated or changed at any time, without prior notice, to reflect changes in our practices, features, or for legal/regulatory reasons. The latest version will always be available within the App, along with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the App after any change means you accept the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
14. Entertainment Purpose Only — Limitation of Liability & Indemnity
Hamare Raaz is provided “as is” and “as available,” strictly for fun, entertainment, and time-pass purposes only.
🚫 This App is NOT meant for:
- Storing or archiving important photos, documents, or memories long-term
- Storing or archiving important chats/conversations for future reference
- Any legal, official, business, or record-keeping purpose
- Financial transactions or sharing banking/payment information
- Legal documentation, evidence, or proof of communication
- Sharing sensitive personal information such as passwords, ID numbers, or confidential documents
We reiterate: we cannot decrypt, access, or view your messages or photos under any circumstance — including if you lose your password, if data is deleted due to a technical issue, or if you need it back for any reason (legal or personal). Once your password is lost or your data is deleted, it is gone permanently, with absolutely no way for us to retrieve it.
Additionally:
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, data safety, accuracy, or permanent availability of the App.
- The App may be updated, changed, restricted, or shut down at any time, without advance notice.
- We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage — including loss of data, messages, photos, reputation, or any other harm — arising from your use (or inability to use) the App.
- We are not responsible for the content, conduct, or actions of any user, since messages are end-to-end encrypted and not accessible to us.
- You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer of Hamare Raaz from any claims, damages, losses, or legal proceedings arising from your misuse of the App, violation of these terms, or violation of any applicable law.
In short: treat this App like a fun, casual chat space — not a safe or permanent place to store anything important, legal, or irreplaceable.
By using this App, you acknowledge and accept these limitations.
15. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from this policy will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Gautam Buddh Nagar (Greater Noida), Uttar Pradesh, India.
